My name is Debbie Williams, Principal of E.L. Kent Elementary School.  I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Texas – Arlington, a Master of Education degree from the University of North Texas, and mid-management certification from Texas Woman’s University.

I have been honored to serve Texas public school children and their families since 1988.  Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD has been my professional home since 1994.  I taught at Blalack Middle School, and then enjoyed being the assistant principal at Sheffield and Good Elementary before coming to Kent, as principal, in 2003.

I married in 1988 and have a son, Jacob.  Faith and family provide a strong foundation for my life.

The Kent Elementary family was honored in 1994 and 2015 to receive the National Blue Ribbon of Excellence by the United States Department of Education.  Commitment to student’s success is at the heart of our decisions.  Students, parents, and staff collaboratively work to provide an environment where students can thrive.

I know without a doubt that I am in the right place fulfilling my life’s calling.  Thank you for entrusting me with your precious children.  Together we will continue the tradition of being the “Best of the Best!”
