Kent Elementary Parent Teacher Association

Our PTA is the heart of our school community, bringing families, teachers, and students together through meaningful support and memorable experiences. PTA proudly sells school spirit wear, funds inspiring author visits, promotes our annual Book Fair, and leads school-wide activities like Kindness Week. PTA also hosts family education nights such as Smart Talk to promote online safety. PTA sponsors community events including Family Swim Night, Family Skate Night, Game Night, and the Reflections arts contest.

Supporting teachers is an important function of PTA. Their “Helping Hands” group works behind the scenes to support teachers in practical ways—copying materials, laminating, cutting out projects, and preparing classroom resources. In addition, PTA treats teachers to snack days and appreciation luncheons to fun treats that boost morale—including grilling hamburgers for Teacher Appreciation—PTA loves showing gratitude to the staff of PTA at Kent Elementary.

Dedicated volunteers, including the “Wingmen”—a group of dedicated dads and father-figures—step up throughout the year to support special projects and school traditions. Together, the PTA creates connections, celebrates staff, and helps the students thrive.

Kent Elementary was recognized among the top 26 schools—public and private—in the state of Texas. Our “Best of the Best” motto truly reflects the dedication and excellence of our school community.

Year after year, Kent earns academic distinctions from the Texas Education Agency in Reading/ELA, Math, Science, Post-Secondary Readiness, Closing the Achievement Gaps, and Academic Growth.

Robotics

The Kent Elementary VEX IQ Robotics Team celebrated a standout season of achievement. After winning the Design Award at the District level, the team qualified for the State competition, where they continued their winning streak.

At State, the students’ teamwork and problem-solving earned them the prestigious Inspire Award. This honor recognizes excellence across design, programming, and collaboration. Kent Elementary is incredibly proud of these students for their dedication and spirit.
